Padma Jashaldia Water Treatment Plant Rooftop

On the Padma Jashaldia Water Treatment Plant project, our work was centered on high-spec industrial protection and structural preservation. Given the plant’s massive scale and exposure to the elements, our focus was on ensuring the rooftop remained a weatherproof, durable shield for the critical water treatment infrastructure below. Key aspects of our work included: Multi-Layer Membrane Waterproofing: We applied a high-performance, heat-bonded waterproofing membrane system across the expansive rooftop. This was designed to withstand extreme UV exposure and heavy monsoon rainfall, preventing any water ingress into the treatment bays. Precision Slope & Drainage Engineering: Our team managed the rooftop screeding to ensure perfect water runoff. We integrated heavy-duty drainage points and custom-fitted “tile-in” or “grate-in” systems to handle high volumes of rainwater without pooling. Expansion Joint Sealing: Given the large concrete surface area, we utilized specialized high-movement industrial sealants for expansion joints. This allows the rooftop to expand and contract with temperature fluctuations without cracking. Protective Solar Coating: We applied a reflective, weather-resistant topcoat to the treated surfaces. This not only protects the waterproofing layers from UV degradation but also helps in reducing the thermal load on the facility below. Structural Anchoring & Retrofitting: We performed precision anchoring for maintenance walkways and equipment mounts, ensuring that any penetrations through the roof surface were perfectly sealed and reinforced against leaks.
